Python-core¶

Description¶

Python is a scripting programming language that lets you work more quickly and integrate your systems more effectively. You can learn to use Python and see almost immediate gains in productivity and lower maintenance costs.

This module provides a core Python build with no modules beyond the standard library or external library dependencies for providing a python scripting interface for applications.

Use this environment module for a core install to provide a scripting interface for an application you are building. It does not have any external library dependencies. If you need any python modules in addition to those in Python Standard Library you will have to install them in your personal filespace and set the PYTHONPATH accordingly.
