HiPerGator

The following resource types are in current use on HiPerGator:

Computational Resource Types

  • NCU (NCPU) - Normalized Computing Unit - 1 CPU core + ~7.8GB of memory
  • NGU (NGPU) - Normalized GPU Unit - 1 general purpose GPU of any type

Storage Resource Types

  • BlSU - Blue Storage Unit - 1 TB (Terabyte) of main storage
  • OrSU - Orange Storage Unit - 1 TB (Terabyte) of long-term storage

Web Hosting Service

  • PA-Instance - PUBAPPS Instance - Basic resources (2 NCU, 1 TB storage) and configuration of one instnace of a web application or service hosting platform either on the public or private side.
  • PUBAPPS CPU Quantity - PubApps CPU Unit - 1 additional CPU Core and memory to be used for data analyses or ML inference by the web application(s) within a single pubapps instance or VM.
  • PUBAPPS GPU Quantity: PubApps GPU Unit - 1 general purpose GPU to be used for data analyses or ML inference by the web application(s) within a single instance or VM.
  • PUBAPPS Storage - PubApps Storage Unit - 1 TB of PUBAPPS storage on the public side of the hosting platform.
