Eligibility Criteria

Policies and Procedures

The list of policies and procedures links to several policies governing HiPerGator account eligibility. These include the Accounts Policy, the Other Universities Policy, and the Teaching Support policy.

Per our policies listed above the following categories of persons are eligible for HiPerGator accounts.

Group Sponsors

Persons who sponsor (provide resources) to a group or groups of HPG users engaged in UF research or teaching activities on HPG. By definition sponsors must be able and willing to purchase HPG resources beyond a trial allocation period.

Categories of HPG group sponsors:

Research and Teaching: - University of Florida faculty and staff members. - Other Florida university or college faculty and staff members. - Members of research units of the Florida state agencies.

Teaching: - Southeast Conference (SEC) institution faculty members engaged in AI teaching on HiPerGator.

Commercialization: - University of Florida Innovate Incubator Companies.

External Customers: - Faculty members from institutions outside of Florida and interested commercial enterprises may inquire about purchasing resources on HiPerGator at Full External Rates.

Only Active HiPerGator Groups are eligible to add new users

A person working for, collaborating with, or enrolled in a class taught by a HiPerGator group sponsor as defined above is eligible for a HiPerGator user account. Account request from a sponsored user must be confirmed by their sponsor. Class accounts are created based on the UF Enrollment provided class rosters and do not have to be requested or confirmed individually.
